We are using sky night black for our flat tile roof. Has anyone built with these render colours? Would love to see and get ideas on others opinions thanks Reply Reply Like Share More Jayy 4/12/2018 8:33 pm #2 Jayy 04 Dec 2018 4 New Poster Re: Colorbond 'Monument' 'Basalt' or 'Woodland Grey' for ren 2 Dec 04, 2018 8:33 pm Also in similar position, We are using black for our flat tile roof. Was going to also do night sky for guttering and fascias but unsure if it will stand out too much Having window frames in black Monument for our garage but stuck wether to do gutters and fascias in monument or stick with night sky hmm... Renders we are also reconsidering, our display had GULLY which looked dark grey in person but on the color sample it looks like it has a green tinge to it so it’s made me wonder what other greys we may like, not having pictures or seeing renders in person makes it a lot harder ! Makes it so hard not seeing in real life hey! The black roof and monument render clashes to much with each other, and we paid extra for the parapet which is what we want as a key feature of our facade. So we had 48 hrs to change our mind, after that we would of had to pay a admin fee. So it was a quick but very hard descision. So we went with keeping the monument render, and changing our roof colour to a lighter grey-ish. Gun Metal (Bristile tiles) and basalt for gutter so the gutter doesn't stand out too much (we were going to go with black) but like to said it could possibly be too much of a stand out. These 2 pics are what we were tossing up between with, but ended up choosing the Basalt gutter to blend into the roof. We were now thinking monument render but I’d really love to see what it looks like, they really need to give examples in person of a small surface instead of cardboard examples haha I’m thinking possibly dark roof with monument guttering and fascias with some sort of grey render and our stone and tile features at the front a greyish color also but it’s hard to try match all these colors when you can’t see it visually haha Reply Reply Like Share More Allyh01 6/12/2018 8:47 am #5 Allyh01 15 Aug 2017 16 Junior Member Re: Colorbond 'Monument' 'Basalt' or 'Woodland Grey' for ren 5 Dec 06, 2018 8:47 am Oh, im glad you mentioned that you saw the night sky gutter in real life - makes me feel more confident in choosing not to have it against a medium grey coloured roof It sounds like your colour scheme is very similar to ours - love it! When is your house set for construction? My brother built his house with 3 different render colours. Monument, surf mist and timber - so we have seen the monument in real life and i do love it and always love the dark colour scheme, but its still too hard to imagine what it would look like on your own house :S We are doing what you are planning to do to... after handover the 2 pillars at front facade are currently brick (Grey Gum Austral) but we will be tiling these with stone tiles after to save us some $$$ Reply Reply Like Share More Jayy 10/12/2018 7:39 am #6 Jayy 04 Dec 2018 4 New Poster Re: Colorbond 'Monument' 'Basalt' or 'Woodland Grey' for ren 6 Dec 10, 2018 7:39 am Construction doesn’t start until early next year as our builder Rawdon hill closes over Xmas period so everything will be on pause until the new year now. We are building down in Melbourne south east. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I added a photo of our display house, so we will have dark roof with monument gutters and fascias and garage. Grey tile and stack stone With some sort of color render which we are only now stuck on we will know when we go put all the colors together again haha Reply Reply Like Share More alymei 6/02/2019 3:02 am #7 alymei 13 Sep 2014 443 Ipswich QLD Gold Member Re: Colorbond 'Monument' 'Basalt' or 'Woodland Grey' for ren 7 Feb 06, 2019 3:02 am Allyh01 Jayy Also in similar position, We are using black for our flat tile roof. We have seen their display home and really like the look of it. Wanting to find out from people who have built with them recently if you are happy with your house? Thanks Reply Reply Like Share More Blacktea2sugars 23/10/2019 8:40 pm #10 Blacktea2sugars 27 Nov 2017 347 VIC Silver Member Re: Colorbond 'Monument' 'Basalt' or 'Woodland Grey' for ren 10 Oct 23, 2019 8:40 pm Looks amazing.
