Plot[]
Nagi goes out on a "date" with Hiro at an amusem*nt park, and later that day, Erika and Sachi spend time together at a batting center and later at a bath house. Very early, the following day, Nagi, Erika, and Sachi would be roped into going on a fishing trip by Mr. Umino.
Summary[]
Sachi finishes taking a shower and tells Nagi that it's ready for him, but then her towel falls off. Thankfully, Nagi was asleep due to being exhausted from studying, and he then received a text from Hiro asking him if he was interested in dates.
The next day, Erika finds Nagi dressed in swanky clothing and asks if something is wrong. Nagi feigns ignorance, and before he can explain, Erika decides to take a morning nap on the couch. In truth, Nagi set up a date with Hiro, and they were to meet at the local station at 9 am. To Nagi's disappointment, the date was just a day trip to collect temple stamps; much took much of the wind out of Nagi's sail. Once Hiro arrives, she apologizes for being late, and Nagi could barely keep himself together with Hiro's outfit. As it turns out, Hiro thought that Nagi's outfit was rather weird looking, and they then headed to their destination, an amusem*nt park. Hiro purchases the tickets at a discounted price because "couples" are given discounts as a pair, which was part of why she brought Nagi there. The other part was because she believed he could keep up with her. Motivated by Hiro's words, he vows to follow her forever. Nagi seems to regret those words as Hiro takes Nagi on every exhilarating ride in the park, leaving him in an overexerted state.
Afterward, the two enjoy lunch together, and Hiro apologizes for putting such a strain on Nagi by forcing him to go on so many exhilarating rides. On the other hand, Nagi brushes it off, and Hiro apologizes for her actions during the field trip, but again, Nagi brushes it off and compliments her cool attitude. The compliment flustered Hiro a bit, and Hiro then challenged Nagi to a race of who could finish the Next-Gen Maze first.
Inside the first part of the maze, Nagi is surrounded by a room full of doors, and the next room is a room filled with mirrors. There, Nagi runs into Hiro and trips and falls into what he thought was Hiro's lips, but it turns out it was just her reflection in a mirror. The act of Nagi apologizing to her in a flustered manner amuses Hiro.
Meanwhile, Sachi texts grudge multiple times while Erika arrives home from another shopping trip. An apathetic Sachi welcomes Erika home and says that Nagi is on a date with someone. To that, Erika reveals that someone was Hiro, which shocks and upsets Sachi as he goes out with someone despite being engaged to her. However, Erika is okay with it because she does not plan to marry him, but Hiro motivates and makes him happy. Still, Sachi is teed off and takes her frustration out on a plushie. Sachi then proclaims she's going out, and Erika follows her.
Back to Nagi and Hiro, Nagi was forced to re-ride the exhilarating rides that Hiro enjoys. Returning to Erika and Sachi, they visit a batting center, and Sachi vents out her frustration there and is soon joined by Erika, dressed up like a pro-baseball player. She then tries her hand at some batting, but fails to hit a single ball. They later visit a bathhouse and have a heart-to-heart about how fortunate they are to meet each other, and in the end, Sachi decides on something. By the end of the day, Nagi and Hiro go their separate ways, but Nagi laments how much of a failure it was. He then checks his phone to see that he's received threatening texts from Sachi.
Returning home, Nagi is greeted by Sachi, who makes him what Nagi calls a fury-filled hamburger steak. As he eats it, Sachi interrogates Nagi about the date he went on with Hiro. Over by the couch, Erika texts her mom if she's interested in going to a bathhouse sometime.
At 3:00 am, their doorbell rang, and it was Mr. Umino who wanted to take them all on a fishing trip. Erika was most psyched as she's never been fishing before and was dressed in an industrial fisherman outfit. It turns out that Sachi had never gone fishing before, but her father had taken Nagi fishing several times before. The person in question was off the side sick as a dog due to sea sickness and claims that their father always took him out on fishing trips despite this. To his admission, Mr. Umino hates fishing alone and brought along Sachi and Erika because Sachi left home, and it didn't seem right not to invite Erika. While Nagi vomits off the starboard bow, Erika catches a fish on the port. Not wanting to lag, Sachi motivates herself to catch some fish, and to add to the incentive, Mr. Umino offers the winner a 1,000 yen bill which both girls hope to win. Nagi, on the other hand, sits out due to his illness. When Sachi catches a sea bass, Nagi recalls the first time he went fishing with his father. Although Nagi vowed never to go fishing with his father again, his father imposed that he'd continue going until he caught a fish bigger than one that he caught. Motivated to catch a fish, Nagi sets out a line and catches a fish... but it's too small and is released back into the sea.
In the end, however, Mr. Umino catches the largest-sized fish and wins the contest. On route back to shore, Nagi and his father have a heart-to-heart, and onshore, Erika talks with her biological mom on the phone about their fishing trip.
