  9. Diyah says:

Worked wonderfully. My only issue was after baking them for 30 minutes it didn't seem done. I took them out the other and fried them in olive oil for less then a minute. Not as healthy as with the oven but hey at least its not ground beef.

Came across this recipe and thought I would give it a try. I was blown away with how delicious and moist these were! I have to say that being my first time making homemade meatballs I was a bit skeptical on how they would turn out but found them super easy and quick to make! For sure my go to recipe!

  15. Demetria says:

Great meatballs will make again, again again and again!!!!!!!!

  16. Kim says:

These are the best turkey meatballs I have ever eaten. I always make a triple batch and freeze two batches to have later for spaghetti and meatballs, Hoisin Asain meatballs over rice (awesome recipe from Pinterest) and even for meatball appetizers if we are having company. These are always in my freezer for a wonderful, quick meal. Another bonus is ground turkey is cheaper than ground beef, but my family enjoys them just as much as beef meatballs. Thank you so much for this recipe!

  17. Christine L. says:

These turkey meatballs are FANTASTIC!!! I always make a double batch because these freeze very well, but I must admit, they don't last very long in my house!

Egg and breadcrumbs are common mix-ins to add moisture and tenderness. Toasty bread: Soggy meatball sandwiches are the worst. And the best way to avoid soggy sandwiches is to build your sub on lightly toasted bread. And for this recipe, we're not just going to toast the bread but turn it into buttery, perfect toasted garlic bread.

What makes meatballs taste rubbery? ›

If the meatballs are packed together too tightly, they will cook up rubbery, chewy, and tough. If the meatballs are different sizes, they will cook unevenly. The smaller meatballs may end up dry and overcooked, while the larger ones may end up undercooked.

How to elevate a meatball sub? ›

Make it a mixed sandwich with some steak or grilled chicken. Add an extra kick with red onion rings to add that sharp onion taste we all love.
