Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (2024)

If there is one hotel that it took us far too long to visit in Malaysia it’s the Grand Lexis Hibiscus PD. In fact, it was not until our fifth visit to Port Dickson that we finally stayed at the Lexis Hibiscus. But we have made up for that by returning again. It’s still so good.

It had been on our dream list for awhile. With over-water villas complete with their own infinity pools, how could it not be?! But then we loved the Avillion and Grand Lexis so much that it was hard to look elsewhere.

In fact, it was starting this blog that made me prioritise going to the Lexis Hibiscus hotel Port Dickson. After all, it’s my responsibility to let you all know what the best places to stay are in Malaysia and I don’t want to let you down 🙂

I needed to complete a Port Dickson Hibiscus review blog to see if this resort is a contender for best resort in Malaysia.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (1)

So we made the big move and booked a trip to the Hibiscus. Are we glad we did? Let’s find out in this Lexis Hibiscus review.

In this Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson blog, I give you our full Port Dickson Lexis Hibiscus review after visiting here with our three kids aged 2, 7 and 8 in 2019. I then updated this in 2023 when we visited with our kids now aged 6, 11 and 12.

We also share a full video of the resort from this trip in 2023. You can see it’s looking great post-pandemic as well as a couple of videos from our 2019 trip.

However, here’s a hint about what’s to come – don’t read this Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson review UNLESS you are happy to book a trip there soon. It’s brilliant!

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review [2023]

The Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson hotel is located in the southern part of Port Dickson near Blue Lagoon and Cape Rachado. There are details below for how to get here.

However, there is so much to do at in this Port Dickson Lexis Hibiscus blog you really don’t need to leave unless you want to.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (2)

We had the perfect introduction to the Lexis Hibiscus on our first visit – with our flight passing overhead on our way to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It’s very cool seeing the hibiscus shape the over water villas make from the air and much bigger than the photo above makes it seem.

If you are flying into Kuala Lumpur International Airport, make sure you keep a look out for it.

The Lexis Hibiscus actually has two Guinness World Records! These are for having the most overwater villas in a single resort and for the most swimming pools in a resort.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (3)

This introduction only improved when we arrived at the resort to a warm welcome and excellent check-in staff. On our first visit, we were given vouchers (including for a free welcome drink) and a bag of drinks and snacks. It was very impressive.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (4)

On our next visit, we arrived in our taxi and out bags were taken immediately and we were all taken in a buggy to the Lighthouse (a building you will see soon in the centre of the Hibiscus) to check-in there. With the top tier room types, you get to check-in here with a beautiful lounge and drinks and snacks to help yourself to. It’s very luxurious.

On both visits, all staff during this experience were top-rate, and we felt very welcome.

We were soon off in a buggy to our villa. You can watch part of the journey below as part of our grand Lexis Hibiscus review!

Lexis Hibiscus Room Types

One of the important things to note in this Lexis Port Dickson blog, is that there are many options for a Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson room type. As you might expect from this resort given its accolades, there are choices both on land and on the water.

I think it’s hard to pass up staying in an over-water villa, and this hotel has many of them.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (5)

On our first visit, we stayed in a Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson premium pool villa sea view which means it’s a premium pool villa that is more private with a full sea view instead of pointing towards the resort, walkways or other villas.

I highly recommend you consider a “sea view” room type if you want to be over the water so your pool isn’t directly facing others which somewhat removes some of the joy of the “private” part of the pool.

On our next visit, we upgraded to a sea view panorama pool villa. This was quite similar to our first villa but with more space, light and a luxurious bathroom. These are on the long line part of the hibiscus shape that you can see in the photo above, so they feel more private again.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (6)

Both these rooms only fit four, but we were allowed to have all five of us in the room. Just note that there is no extra bedding available so this is only suitable if you are happy to share beds. We had two king beds so we found it worked well enough for two adults and three kids. Kids do stay here free which is a huge bonus for families.

If you would prefer to stay on land, a Lexis Hibiscus sky pool villa is popular. The rooms are much the same standard as our room below. You aren’t over the water but you still have a private pool and outdoor area and have the benefit of great views over the resort and a more convenient location.

Check out the latest prices here.

Both our rooms were modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I was happy to find when we returned post-pandemic that the standard was very high. The room wasn’t dated or aged and had obviously been well maintained since our last visit.

Premium Pool Villa Lexis Hibiscus Review

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (7)

We were very, very happy with our Lexis Hibiscus premium pool villa sea view. Note that these are not to be confused with the sky pool villa Lexis Hibiscus blog options as that room type is inland, in the main hotel tower and not over the water.

The Hibiscus PD premium pool villaroom types are located on the outside of the petals pointing out to the ocean so they are more privacy than other premium pool villas. And, of course, they have their own private pools.

You can see a video tour of our room, #294, here:

This Lexis Hibiscus room type which we stayed in for this premium pool villa Lexis Hibiscus blogwas nice and spacious.

At the Hibiscus Lexis resort, as you walk into the room, the room starts with the bedroom area. There are two king-sized beds, including two seats at the end of them – these bench seats are big enough that one of my kids actually slept on it! There is also a desk area, mini-fridge and big LCD TV.

Everything is well presented and the beds are very comfortable with great linens.

Next to the bedroom are glass doors (with great curtains) to a large bathroom/dressing area. This is where you can find cupboards, gowns, slippers, a safe, shower and toilet. There are many included toiletries and we had six towels – some for outside and some for inside.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (8)

In this area, there is also a glass panel looking down into the water below. We saw quite a few fish!

Then there is the pride and joy of the room – the outside area with private pool!

The pool is just fabulous. It’s an infinity pool pointing out to the water and our sea view villa meant we had full ocean views. Although note that when standing in the front half of the pool, we could see out to other villas so the whole area isn’t 100% private.

The pool is a good size and bigger than it looks in photos. At 1.2 metres depth, it’s a good depth as well. To the side is a sauna which was bigger than it looks in photos and videos too. We could all fit in there and enjoyed it a lot, and was a highlight of our Lexis Hibiscus PD review.

Something that struck me straight away was how quiet the room and outdoor area are. And they remained that way for the duration of our stay except for the occasional swishing sound of the buggy going past outside.

The whole villa from inside to outside is a great size, comfortable, well presented and fun! We stayed here with our family of five and there was plenty of space. We loved it all!

Sea View Panorama Pool Villa Lexis Hibiscus Review

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (10)

On our next visit, we decided to stay somewhere a little bigger with the panorama pool villa. This worked fantastically, especially now our kids were (a lot) bigger and we needed a little more space. It is very spacious. The room number was 345.

On entry to the room is a big space and like a food and drinks area. There was a minifridge (complete with some cold drinks), tea and coffee making facilities, a delicious fruit bowl, four bottles of water and glasses. You can see it pictured above.

It was a lovely sight as we entered the room.

This entry leads into the main bedroom with the bathroom just to the right.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (11)

I’ll start with the bathroom. It’s huge and maybe the most luxurious bathroom I have experienced. There were three parts to it.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (12)

The first part is a toilet and basin with its own door so you can use the toilet in privacy, someone else can use the shower in a separate room at the other end in privacy and someone else again could be brushing their teeth or getting changed in the middle section.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (13)

The middle section has some shelves with space for a suitcase, a wardrobe with drawers, shelves, hanging space, scales, gowns and slippers and a safe. In front of this is a glass panel to see down to the sea underneath.

There were also two basins with a ton of space for all our toiletries PLUS the hotel supplied a ton of toiletries. I think you could come here without bringing any!

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (14)

Finally, the sea end of the bathroom has a separate room with a shower and a beautiful big bath tub. There are sea views from this room too. There were also two pool towels and four bathroom towels.

Back to the main bedroom.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (15)

The room starts with a huge desk with drawers and a desk chair. I sat here to update this review, and it was great!

Then, there were two king-sized beds with bed sized tables.

Opposite the beds, a TV had been built into the wall which was very cool. Another huge plus of this resort since we last visited is that there is a huge range of on-demand movies to watch for free. After tons of swimming and enjoying other facilities at the resort, it was nice to relax and watch a movie together for a lazy break in the afternoon.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (16)

Finally, the sea end of the room had a nice, small couch.

Of course, the best part of the room is to come! Which says a lot as the room was great.

It’s time for the pool!

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (17)

The bedroom has a sliding door to the back patio. Here, there are two chairs, a small table, the pool and a sauna!

We didn’t try the sauna (Malaysia is sauna-like enough for us :D), but the pool was used A LOT during our stay.

While it is a smaller pool, it’s bigger than the photos make it look. We all had a lot of fun in there.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (18)

Like our other room, it always seemed so quiet both in the room and the pool.

At night, I loved sitting by the far corner of the pool and listening to the sea below. Bliss!

Again, we could see other rooms if we went to the far edge of the pool, but otherwise, it was very private.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (19)

All up, we loved this room! If you want more space and a more luxurious bathroom in a more private spot, this beats the premium pool villa we stayed in last time. However, both rooms are great so it really depends on your budget and preferences.

There are also some great perks to staying in this room type. You get the special check-in and lounge described above. You also get to choose whether to eat breakfast at the main buffet restaurant or at Waves Dining. You also have the evening co*cktails and snacks described below complimentary. It all leads to a very luxurious experience.

You can see a video walk-through of this room in the full video below.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review Blog Activities And Facilities

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (20)

If you are wondering what to do in Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson and what the Lexis Hibiscus facilities are like, you don’t have to worry. There is plenty to do at the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson. Honestly, the list goes on and on!

I will do my best to list everything I could find here! Unfortunately, some things have closed post pandemic. I only mention facilities that were available during our most recent visit. There are still A LOT of things to do at this resort.

Inside the Lexis Hibiscus resort main building, there is the Lexis Hibiscus spa, karaoke lounge (need to book a day in advance) and Kidz World playcentre on the second floor.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (21)

Kidz World is big and well set up with lots of areas for kids to play. It was perfect for my 6 year old, but the play centre part is not really for kids older than this. If you kid is over 4, you can leave them here but otherwise you need to supervise. It’s multi level with lots of areas.

Unfortunately, this is a paid activity and there are also additional activities you can pay for while you are there. The list is long and impressive so here is a photo of it:

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (22)

You can buy passes at the spa which is next door.

Outside of Kidz World, there is also a small track where kids can race around in police cars and other small options. I even hopped on a Lexis Hibiscus bicycle for a ride around the resort!

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (23)

On the ground floor are more Lexis Hibiscus activities including a gym and sauna.

There is a shop where you can choose from a few snack and drink options and souvenirs. I couldn’t resist one of the Lexis Hibiscus puzzles!

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (24)

Just outside there are even more activity options! From here, you can hire a bicycle, tandem bicycle and more. I have included the price list below.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (26)

You can also take an ATV ride on the beach (13+ only), make giant bubbles or go on a cruise. Of course, there is also a tour desk to book activities in the surrounding area.

There is also a pool area. There are two hotel pools although they are not that well used. The private pools are too good! We did use them one afternoon though to get some more energy out of the kids! The main pool is spacious and great and made all the better by the fact that most people do not use it.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (27)

The Roselle Coffee House has many tables around here so you can easily get a drink and a snack near the pool.

There is a kids’ playground nearby as well.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (28)

If you like water sports, there are a number of things to do on the water itself which older kids my love – such as kayaking, banana boats, boat charters and jet skis. These are all paid activities as well. You can see the prices above.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (29)

Before covid, there was also the Hibiscus Walk with a hawker centre. Unfortunately, this is currently closed, although you can still use the beach area here and you’ll find some of the activities described above for the Port Dickson Lexis Hibiscus hotel here.

This is where you can find the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dicksonbeach. It’s nice and sandy (with imported sand) and many lounge chairs and hammocks. In the evening, it seems popular with families and during the day, with anyone trying out water sports, but I have never seen it busy.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (30)

There are a range of activities in this area besides beach lounging. In the sea, you can kayak, jet ski, go on a banana boat or more.

You can also find a mini funfair here which is open mornings and later afternoons/early evenings. In addition to the ATV rides mentioned earlier which are also here, you can also try archery.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (31)

On Saturday nights, there is a fire show at this beach area too! Unfortunately, I have not stayed on a Saturday night so can’t report on this one, but hopefully next time 🙂

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (32)

There are buggies to get from the main resort building to rooms over the water. These are easy to take, and we always found that we had one in moments after ringing to get one from our room or they are readily available from the resort building.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (33)

Buggies may not seem necessary when you are reading this review at home. However, this resort is BIG! You don’t realise just how big until you are walking to the main building in the middle of the day in direct sun. The buggies are awesome.

Eating And Drinking Options

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (34)

Another highlight of both of our stays here was the food!

There are not just many activities at the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson resort hotel but also many eating and drinking options. I don’t think I have ever stayed anywhere with so many choices! Although on our second visit in 2023, some of these remain closed. I only talk below about the currently open options.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (35)

There are a range of restaurants, café, lounges and bars in the main resort building as well as in the Lighthouse which is a four-storey building in the centre of the Hibiscus. Each floor in this building is a different eating or drinking option, although some of this was closed on our most recent visit.

As mentioned earlier, the Lighthouse is where we checked in and they also had a lounge area for guests staying in their more premium rooms.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (36)

In the main building, there are a few options including a Japanese restaurant. There’s also a handy cafe on the ground floor where we had our free welcome drinks on our first stay.

As I take my job of writing this review Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson so seriously, we visited as many restaurants and bars as we could on our most recent visit 🙂

We had such great experiences at all of them with amazing service and incredibly high-quality food. It is obvious they put a lot of pride in the quality of their dishes, and we found our food experiences far superior to an average hotel.

Regardless of whether you want to enjoy Malaysian cuisine, western food or change it up each meal, you’ll find plenty to eat at the Lexis Hibiscus with its range of restaurants, bars and cafes. There are currently six different bars and restaurants on-site, or there’s 24 hour room service available if you just want to stay in your room and relax.

On our first visit, we did get room service quite a lot as we rarely left our pool.

Below are our reviews of the restaurants and bars we visited most recently.

Roselle Coffee House

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (37)

The Roselle Coffee House is great. The name is a little misleading as it’s a top restaurant.

There is dining all day here with great local and international dishes as well as a breakfast buffet in the morning.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (38)
Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (39)

This not like a standard hotel restaurant at all.

We had a fabulous lunch here. All our dishes were so tasty, big and fresh. The service was amazing.

We also tried out breakfast here. It is buffet style, and it was mind boggling how many options were here.

There were western options, local options, like roti canai and nasi lemak, an arabic counter, a noodle counter and my kids’ favourite, the pancake counter.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (40)

However, this was the one time I didn’t have a perfect food experience. Some of the food wasn’t as fresh as it could be, like the pastries, pancakes and rotis. It’s a shame the latter items weren’t made to demand as some of the ones we had were dry and hard.

My kids also loved that there was chocolate milk in addition to juice.

This breakfast is included for all guests.

UMI Japanese Restaurant

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (41)

The UMI Japanese Restaurant was amazing. We had a huge Japanese feast, and it was delicious.

All our family members love Japanese food, so went a bit crazy ordering food in this restaurant. In fact, I was a little bit embarrassed by how much food we got.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (42)

But, amazingly, we ate it all because IT WAS JUST SO GOOD! So delicious. In fact, the sashimi was the best we have ever had. We loved every moment of eating here.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (43)

The staff also went above and beyond. When my son spilled his miso soup, they were right there cleaning it up, setting him up in a new spot and replacing it.

They also chased after us when I (stupidly) left my handbag behind. A couple of minutes later, they chased after us again as my husband had left his sunglasses. Obviously, the food was so great that our brains stopped working 😀

Waves Dining

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (44)

Waves Dining is on the third floor of the Lighthouse and you get some great views from here.

It’s open for breakfast, dinner and for an evening co*cktail between 5 – 7pm.

We visited for both breakfast and evening co*cktails and enjoyed both a lot.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (45)

Breakfast is a combination of a small buffet and ordering a main breakfast item off the menu. There was a western style breakfast, nasi lemak or waffles with berries when we visited. This was our favourite breakfast as the food was all fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the pastries and the smoked salmon and cheeses.

It was also more intimate and calm here than the big buffet-style breakfast at Roselle.

This breakfast is complimentary if you are staying in the panorama pool villas or the suites. Otherwise, there is an extra charge.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (46)

Evening co*cktail time was my favourite time of day at the Lexis. We could go to Waves and choose from a selection of drinks, including co*cktails, wine and beer, as well as get a snack from a small buffet. This is complimentary for guests in the panorama pool villas and suites. Otherwise, it cost RM180 per person.

Again, everything was great, and I looked forward to my evening wine.

I was super impressed by the drinks range at both times of day. There were many types of juices as well as a huge selection of different flavoured iced teas/mineral waters that were delicious.

Coralz Bistro

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (47)

This is the cafe option, perfect for a drink and cake or snack.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (48)

It also has “grab n go” options for breakfast and dinner if you want something simple you can easily eat in your room, on the beach or elsewhere.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (49)

We had a grab n go dinner on our last night after snacking at the evening co*cktail session at Waves and not being hungry enough for a sit-down meal. Our hot dogs, caesar salad and cakes hit the spot. It was tasty and easy.

Satellite Restaurant And Bar

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (50)

If there is one place you need to go when you are at the Lexis Hibiscus, it is definitely up here! Located on the top floor of the main building, there’s great views over the hibiscus shape of the over-water villas.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (51)

I’m not sure why it’s called a restaurant as there didn’t seem to be food on offer. However, there are drinks and outdoor tables with the great views.

It opens in the evening and we loved having a drink and snapping tons of photos.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (52)

If you feel like some time away from the resort, there are plenty of other hotels and restaurants nearby where you can dine, too.

Full Lexis Hibiscus Video Walk-Through

On our most recent visit, we also filmed a full video walk-through of this resort. You can see it all below, as well as all the details of our sea view panorama pool villa.

It’s worth watching in conjunction with reading this review as it will really illustrated what it’s like to stay here.

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Blog Final Words

Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Review: Our Amazing Experiences At This One-Of-A-Kind Resort [2024] - Dive Into Malaysia (54)

We loved staying at the Lexis Hibiscus on both our visits. We will 100% be back again, probably many times 🙂 The villas and private pools are just so good and I would love to stay in one again for another executive pool villa Lexis Hibiscus blog!

This 5-star hotel deserves its rating with great rooms, dining and service.

I found it great the first time we visited, but it has only improved over the pandemic and is better than ever now.

The service was faultless this time. We ate every meal at the resort and just about every item we ate between five people was delicious.

There’s plenty to do if you can drag yourself away from your private pool, and it’s a great place to hang out. I especially recommend it if you are looking for somewhere when you first fly into the country. It’s easily accessible from the airport and the perfect place to get over jet lag and long flights.

One thing to note is that if you prefer smaller, more intimate places to stay, then this is probably not the resort for you – the Lexis Hibiscus is huge and can get busy. Fortunately, if you have the room type we had, it’s easy to forget all about the other guests looking out at the ocean from your pool! Plus, the resort is big, so you can escape other people easily.

I can find the extra cost of most of the activities a little annoying. They are on the expensive side, and it does feel like more should be included.

HOWEVER, I also think the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson price represents very good value. The room price per night is really very good when you consider this is a 5 star resort with your own private pool. It’s one of the best value hotels I have stayed at from that point of view (see latest prices here).

So if you remember that you are paying less to start with, it seems fair to pay for activities as you use them. It is something to be aware of though.

The pool villas really can’t be beat. Overall, it’s a fabulous resort and I’ll happily come back here as often as I can. It worked really well for our family. We had some really quality family time.

If you can, book the panorama pool villas and enjoy the Waves Dining special breakfast and evening co*cktails. It’s really special.

The resort is also right next to Pantai Cermin and a short drive to Blue Lagoon and Cape Rachado which is a lovely spot. In fact, it would be walkable to Blue Lagoon if it wasn’t for the heat (more info on things to do in Port Dickson here).

If you are wondering how it compares to the Grand Lexis Port Dickson, I prefer the Lexis Hibiscus PD. The pool villas are fabulous in both but I love the pool looking out to the water like you have at the Hibiscus. The Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson facilities also do not disappoint (and there are more of them at the Grand Lexis) so it wins on every front for me.
