Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Nameless Ruins Masks guide

The Nameless Ruins can be visited on the way to Drezen (it’s due south of the city). There, you’ll encounter strangers that only speak in riddles, as well as a worship area surrounded by four large statues. If you talk to Nenio, the More Than Nothing quest tells you that the solution can’t be found in this area. That’s because the Nameless Ruins Masks in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous are scattered all over the game world.

Darkness Mask – Heart of Mystery (Act 3 or 5)

This will likely be the first one that you’ll find if you’ve been exploring Act 3, as it’s related to the Heart of Mystery. As early as Act 3, you’ll be able to solve the puzzles in two locations: Core of the Riddle and Forgotten Secrets. Once you’ve done that, a portal to the Heart of Mystery will appear. Enter the new location and, even though you can’t do anything for now, you can head to the tunnel. There’s a container that has the Darkness Mask.

Circle Mask – Ivory Sanctum (Act 3)

A Nameless Ruins Mask in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous can be obtained in the Ivory Sanctum. Venturing forth into the dungeon is required if you wish to progress further in Act 3. Inside, you’ll want to head to the large, circular chamber in the center of the dungeon. Solve the puzzle by pressing the symbols in the following order: Triangle -> Hexagon -> Pentagon -> Diamond.

Summit Mask – Pulura’s Fall (Act 5)

In Act 5, you can continue the Cascade of Fire quest, which involves hunting down Mutasafen. Your goal is to reach Pulura’s Fall, which is west of Drezen and south of Blackwater. Upon entering the shrine, you’ll see a pool surrounded by symbols representing the world’s constellations. Interact with these in the following order: Newlyweds -> Daughter -> Rider -> Patriarch -> Pack -> Follower. A hidden chamber will be revealed, and you can pick up the item from there.

Note 1: Make sure you attack and kill Mutasafen here to obtain the Records of Pulura’s Stargazers project. Research this via the Crusade map before you conclude Act 5 since it’s a requirement for the secret ending.

Note 2: Pulura’s Fall can be visited in Act 3 as part of an Angel Mythic Quest. However, the other Mythic Paths only have access to this location come Act 5.

Question Mask – Ineluctable Prison (Act 5)

At the start of Act 5, you’ll make your way through a demon-infested Drezen (again) until you reach the Citadel. Then, Iomedae, Nocticula, and Areelu will appear in front of Drezen’s shrine. Make sure you talk to Iomedae about the Hand of the Inheritor, as doing so gives you the Your Bones Will Join the Myriad Others quest. It takes you to the Ineluctable Prison all the way to the west.

The dungeon is somewhat akin to a maze, and you need to head one of the chambers in the central-west section. There, you’ll see a bunch of symbols on the wall. Press them in the following order: Diamond -> Triangle -> Hexagon -> Pentagon. You’ll then receive the Question Mask.

Nameless Ruins Masks and Statues

Now that you have all Nameless Ruins Masks in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, you’ll want to return to the all-important location. Remember those large statues in the middle? Interact with each one and you’ll be able to read the riddles that are engraved. You’ll then need to place the masks in the corresponding statues:

  • “I am the unknown…” – Darkness Mask
  • “I am the void and the emptiness…” – Circle Mask
  • “I am the end of the road…” – Summit Mask
  • “I am the impetus to act…” – Question Mask

If you do it right, a golden portal will appear. It takes you to The Enigma, the interior of the Nameless Ruins where you’ll have to solve almost a dozen puzzles. You can learn more in our Enigma dungeon guide.
